The old Vashon Elementary School site, 15 acres leased to the Park District by the Vashon Island School District, has undergone a facelift as the result of a community master planning process and a generous grant from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office. The site hosts two baseball fields in addition to a third multi-purpose field to accommodate soccer, lacrosse, and football use. Its longer-range future includes a playground, a basketball court, picnic areas, and trails.
