The bubble will be deflated for all high wind warnings, and most high wind watches. 40+mph is the prediction we pay attention to. Once deflated, it can not be re-erected until the winds calm down and rainwater gets pumped off the bubble.

The bubble air temp is generally 15-20 degrees warmer than the outside air.

When the dewpoint hits a certain temperature ... fog forms in the bubble. We may have to close the pool due to low visibility.
One lap lane is generally available during all 'open swims'.
The schedule may change due to lifeguard availability or other community activities.

For When the bubble is not up (mid-April to mid-October)...
During smoky days, an AQI of >151 might result in a pool closure. Changes will be announced on the VPD website. Check Purple Air to see the current numbers in the area.
During inclimate weather, the pool may temporarily close if the lifeguards cannot clearly see the bottom of the pool. If it appears the whole day will be stormy, we may pre-emptively close.
