Island Center Forest is a 370-acre working forest and nature preserve featuring various forest stands, meadows, the Mukai Pond and Meadowlake Pond wetlands, and is home to the headwaters of Judd Creek. The property is owned and managed by King County Parks in collaboration with community partners to include the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust, Vashon Forest Stewards, and Vashon-Maury Island Audubon. There are more than nine miles of trails for hikers, equestrians and mountain bikers, and the wetlands are popular for bird watching and wildlife photography.
Located in the center of Vashon Island with access west onto SW 188th Street off Vashon Highway; west on SW Cemetery Road then north on 115th Avenue S.W.; or just north of the transfer station on the Westside Highway.
